TechnipFMC is a global leader in the energy industry; delivering projects, products, technologies and services. They employ approximately 36,000 people, across 128 nationalities and operate in 48 countries across the world. Headquartered in London with operational headquarters in Houston and Paris, TechnipFMC is listed on NYSE and Euronext stock exchange.

TechnipFMC has a long and solid track record of delivering some of the most challenging and innovative subsea operations in some of the world’s harshest ocean environments – such as the North Sea and Atlantic Ocean. As an industry leader in seabed developments, TechnipFMC is committed to optimizing subsea fields from concept to project delivery and beyond, spanning from shallow to extremely deep water.

The DSV1) Deep Explorer and DSV1) Deep Arctic, are beyond doubt two of the most advanced Dive Support Vessels in the world, operating with the highest available technology standard for the computer controlled 24-man saturation chamber complex, including twin diving bells with launch and recovery systems and two Self Propelled Hyperbaric Lifeboats.

The diver watch casing is produced in carbon, which is an extremely shock-absorbing material, well suited for extreme conditions. The diving watches are waterproof down to 500 meters.

Diving vessels suitable for the demanding North Sea market

Deep Arctic

The Deep Arctic is a purpose-designed and built saturation diving support and heavy construction vessel, with 400 Te crane capacity. When she was launched in 2009, she was one of the most modern diving support vessels and has again become a leader in her field by becoming one of the first dive support vessels in the world to install a battery hybrid system onboard.

The vessel’s 24-person diving chamber complex which is rated to maximum 350 meter water depth also has twin three-person diving bells and two 18-person hyperbaric lifeboats making her fully compliant to ‘NORSOK’ standards. Both the diving bells and the two Schilling Ultra Heavy Duty Working ROV’s Launch & Recovery Systems are rated up to 6.0m significant wave height making her one of the most capable dive support vessels working today.

The Deep Arctic is suited for demanding environments like the North Sea and can work throughout the year in virtually all sea and weather conditions, worldwide.

Deep Explorer

Built in 2016 the Deep Explorer is arguably the most advanced diving support and heavy construction vessel in the world thanks to her second generation computer controlled Hyperbaric Monitoring and Control System (HMCS). She can support up to 24 divers living in her onboard saturation diving chamber complex. The divers can live onboard at pressures equivalent to maximum 350 meters water depth. The twin three-person diving bells allows the divers to travel to and from subsea structures without decompressing each time.

Fully compliant to ‘NORSOK’ standards, the vessel has two 24-person hyperbaric lifeboats, a large deck area, working moonpool, accommodation for approximately 150 people and an impressive 400 Te offshore crane.

The Deep Explorer is designed with special emphasis on good sea-keeping abilities and excellent station-keeping performance, capable of working throughout the year in virtually all sea and weather conditions, worldwide.

Last but not least

On behalf of TechnipFMC, 3% of all sales profit, from all of the North Sea watch series connected with their Dive Support Vessels will be donated to European Underwater and Baromedical Society (EUBS)2). The charity donation will constitute a "special fund" within EUBS for health- and physiology research in diving, including professional and saturation diving.

This way TechnipFMC contributes to further develop knowledge about saturation diving as an intervention method, including the education of the next generation experts within diving medicine and research.
